Chelsea are reportedly willing to break their club-record transfer fee to sign Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann.
The defending Premier League champions, who currently sit 12th in the standings after their opening nine games, have identified the France international as a potential alternative to Eden Hazard.
The 24-year-old, who has 20 international caps to his name, has already scored six goals in 10 appearances in all competitions for the La Liga outfit this season.
With Belgian ace Hazard being linked with a move to fellow Spanish giants Real Madrid, following his poor start to the season, Blues boss Jose Mourinho wants to break the bank to land Griezmann as his preferred replacement during the January transfer window.
Chelsea’s current record transfer fee remains the £50m they paid Liverpool for Fernando Torres back in 2011.
