Chelsea could look to Leicester City defender Wesley Fofana to solve their defensive crisis, according to reports.

As per The Daily Mail, the Blues are set to miss out on yet another target with Jules Kounde destined for Barcelona.

Chelsea have already missed out on Raphinha, Matthijs de Ligt and Nathan Ake this summer, and it now appears that the case could be the same for Kounde.

With both Andreas Christensen and Antonio Ruidger having left the club at the end of the season, Thomas Tuchel is desperate to add to his options in defence.

Kalidou Koulibaly has already been signed from Napoli, but the German still wants to add at least one centre-back to his squad, the reports says.

No official offer has been made so far, but the Blues are reportedly weighing up a bid for the talented Frenchman.

Fofana, 21, was limited to just seven Premier League starts last season due to a leg injury.

Leicester are likely to be reluctant to sell Fofana, but Chelsea could test their resolve with a bid for the player.
