Chelsea have made clear their interest in Leeds United star Raphinha, although the Brazilian is unlikely to leave the Yorkshire club until the summer, according to The Daily Mail

The report suggests that, while the Blues have registered an interest in the winger, the Whites are unlikely to allow him to leave on deadline day and he will therefore remain with Leeds until the end of the season.

Thomas Tuchel’s side are reportedly keen on the player, who has scored eight times in the league so far this term, but will also face competition for his signature from other Premier League clubs.

West Ham United are also believed to be interested in the 25-year-old, with boss David Moyes having listed him as a ‘priority signing’ ahead of the summer.

Leeds could face a tricky task to keep hold of Raphinha beyond the summer

The Scot has reportedly gained the backing of co-owner David Sullivan, and is now plotting a move for the Brazil international.

Raphinha’s current deal with Leeds doesn’t expire until 2024, and the report does also even suggest that he could still opt to stay put with Marcelo Bielsa’s side.

He will reportedly be offered an improved deal to stay with his current side, which will include a significant pay rise.

The winger, who is currently on international duty with Brazil, has scored eight goals and registered two assists in 19 Premier League games so far this season.
