Premier League title contenders Arsenal and Manchester City will meet at The Etihad in a fascinating encounter on Sunday afternoon.

Mikel Arteta’s side defeated rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the North London derby on Sunday to move second in the table, two points behind the Citizens.

City have won all four of their games so far this term, most recently defeating Brentford 2-1 on Saturday afternoon.

Now, it has emerged that the two Premier League giants could soon be battling it out off the pitch too.

According to TBR Football, both the Gunners and the Citizens are interested in Stoke City youngster Souleymane Sidibe.

The 17-year-old was handed his senior debut last year and made a handful of appearances for the Potters last season, but he has so far been involved in four games at the start of this term.

It is claimed that Arsenal, City and Premier League rivals Chelsea are all interested in the teenage midfielder, who is the son of former Stoke player Mamady Sidibe.

The trio of Premier League heavyweights are all said to have scouted the central midfielder in recent months.

Fellow Premier League sides Wolves, Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest are also said to be interested in the youngster.

Sidibe has just under three years remaining on his current contract with Stoke, but the Potters could face a battle to keep hold of the player beyond next summer.

Despite being born in Paris, Sidibe has represented England at Under-18 level.
