Southampton fear that winger Sadio Mane’s transfer value will drop this summer following his current ineffectiveness on the field, according to the Daily Star.
The Premier League side, who drew 1-1 at home to relegation contenders Sunderland at the weekend, had slapped a £30m asking price on the Senegal international following recent interest from English top-flight giants Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United.
The 23-year-old, who has 31 international caps for his country, has scored seven goals and provided eight assists in 34 appearances in all competitions for Ronald Koeman’s side so far this season.
However Mane, who arrived at St Mary’s Stadium from Red Bull Salzburg back in September 2014 for a reported £11.8m, has failed to find the back of the net in the Premier League since October’s 1-1 draw against Liverpool.
The report suggests that the Saints are now worried that the Senegal stars’ 18-match league goal drought will see his potential suitors pursue a knock-down transfer fee this summer.
