Two months in and the Thomas Tuchel era at Stamford Bridge has started almost perfectly, with the single exception of the shock 5-2 defeat to relegation threatened West Brom last weekend.

In the German’s opening 16 games, the Blues have won 11 and conceded just seven goals, with five of them coming against the Baggies last Saturday.

As well as the upturn in form, Tuchel has also been praised for giving opportunities to fringe players and adapting to different situations, with a number of systems and formations used over the past few weeks.

Since Tuchel’s arrival, Italian midfielder Jorginho has been brought in from the cold and is now playing a pivotal role for the West London side.

Jorginho, who followed Maurizio Sarr from Napoli in 2018, had been largely overlooked by previous manager Frank Lampard, but has been reinstated into the first-team under Tuchel.

Despite returning to regular action, the Italian’s future is once again being called into question, with the player himself dropping a huge hint at where his future may lie.

Speaking to Sky Sports Italia, the Brazil-born midfielder spoke positively about his time in Naples, and appeared to suggest that he will one day return there.

Both Sarri and Jorginho joined Chelsea from Napoli in 2018.

“I had a wonderful experience and I’m very fond of the city and the fans,” he said.

“Now, honestly, I’m not thinking about it because my concentration is all on Chelsea, but if there’s the possibility, one day, to return, of course I would like to.”

The 29-year-old, who came under fire for his poor performance in the Blues’ defeat to West Brom, is currently contracted to the club until 2023.

However, speculation that Sarri will return to Napoli at the end of the season fuelled talk of Jorginho’s future, with several people speculation that he will once again follow his fellow countryman.
