Chelsea will hope to secure European football for next season by beating Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

The Blues have endured a difficult season, but a recent run of good form has seen Mauricio Pochettino’s side on the verge of securing a place in next season’s Europa League.

The West London side could even finish as high as fifth if they beat the Cherries and rivals Tottenham Hotspur lose against Sheffield United.

In the meantime, though, one of their most important players is once again being linked with a move away from SW6.

As per The Telegraph, midfielder Conor Gallagher is once again being targeted by Tottenham ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.

Gallagher has been linked with a move away from Chelsea in each of the past two transfer windows

The report claims that both Spurs and Aston Villa are considering moves for the Englishman this summer, with Chelsea likely to have to offload several players in order to adhere to profit and sustainability rules.

It is also claimed that Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou remains a big admirer of the England international, who has played 49 times so far this season.

Gallagher, 24, is in line to start and captain the Blues against Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, in what could be his final game for his boyhood club.

While Spurs remain frontrunners to sign Gallagher, the report also suggests that Villa could make a move for him and he could even be used as part of a swap deal that would see Villans forward Jhon Duran move to London.

Talks between Gallagher and his current employers over a new contract have so far failed to progress, with his current deal set to expire next summer.
