Chelsea have reportedly been quoted £52m if they wish to land Brazil international defender Alex Sandro this summer, according to the Evening Standard.

The Premier League champions, who finished seven points clear of runners-up Tottenham Hotspur in the English top-flight this term, have been linked with the Juventus full-back ahead of their 2017-18 title defence.

The 26-year-old, who has six international caps for his country, scored three goals in 43 appearances for the Serie A champions this season.

Blues boss Conte.

Sandro, who still has three years remaining on his current contract with Juve, joined the Italian giants in August 2015 following his switch from FC Porto, and has already won two Serie A titles and two Coppa Italia’s in Turin.

However, with Blues boss Antonio Conte’s former side determined to retain the services of the Samba star, the report suggests Chelsea will have to stump up at least £52m – a fee that would surpass the world record £50m the Premier League champions pocketed for selling David Luiz to Paris Saint-Germain back in 2014.
