Chelsea have offered Timo Werner to German side RB Leipzig in an effort to hijack Paris Saint-Germain’s move for Nordi Mukiele.

As per Foot Mercato via Metro, the Blues are prepared to let Werner return to his homeland in exchange for Mukiele, who has reportedly agreed to join PSG.

Recent rumours have suggested that the Frenchman will be part of a £55 million move to the French capital, but Chelsea are hopeful that they can hijack the move before it is made official.

Mukiele could be on his way London

Mukiele, who made 37 appearances for Leipzig last term, is reportedly keen on a move to Paris, which could ruin Chelsea’s chances of landing the player.

The 24-year-old is able t0 play at both right-back and centre-back, which is appealing to Thomas Tuchel as he looks to bolster his defensive options.

Werner, meanwhile, has struggled at Chelsea since joining from Leipzig two years ago for £52 million.

The Germany international has struggled for form in front of goal, and has now been offered back to his former club as part of a player-plus-cash deal for Mukiele.
