Chelsea offered shock Diego Costa swap deal before the window closes

Chelsea have reportedly been offered a swap deal by Atletico Madrid that would see Diego Costa return to Spain, and Jackson Martinez come the other way, according to the Sun.

It is claimed that Costa is unsettled at the Premier League champions, and would be keen on a move back to La Liga and his former team.

Atletico boss Diego Simeone also wants the deal to happen before deadline day with the club set to serve a transfer ban for the next two windows, as well as the fact that Martinez has failed to impress following his summer move from FC Porto.

However, Chelsea are unlikely to let Costa, who scored his team’s winner against Arsenal last weekend, leave before Monday.
