Chelsea will be hoping to continue their unbeaten run when they host West London rivals Brentford on Saturday.

The Blues started the new season slowly, but are unbeaten in their last four games across all competitions and were unfortunate not to beat Arsenal last time out.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side held a 2-0 lead over their rivals midway through the second half on Saturday, before late goals from Declan Rice and Leandro Trossard drew the Gunners level.

Despite failing to hold on to their lead, Pochettino will undoubtedly have been pleased with his side’s performance against last season’s Premier League runners-up.

In the wake of the game, though, it appears that the Blues could make a shock move for one of Arsenal’s out of favour players.

According to Ben Jacobs, Chelsea could make a move for Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale, who has fallen down the pecking order at The Emirates.

The journalist claims that the Blues are interested in the England international as they look to sign a ‘keeper to provide competition for current first choice Robert Sanchez.

Ramsdale faces an uncertain future after losing his starting spot at The Emirates

Having allowed both Kepa Arrizabalaga and Edouard Mendy to leave the club over the summer, owner Todd Boehly signed Sanchez from Brighton and Hove Albion for a fee in the region of £25 million.

Ramsdale, 25, joined Arsenal from Sheffield United in 2021 and has since made 84 appearances for the club across all competitions.

The Englishman was Mikel Arteta’s first choice ‘keeper over the past two seasons, but has lost his place since the arrival of David Raya from Brentford.

Having started Arsenal’s first four Premier League matches of the campaign, the former Bournemouth man now hasn’t featured in the competition since the first week of September.

Raya’s performances have been inconsistent in Ramsdale’s absence, with the Spaniard making a number of errors over the past few games, having initially impressed.

Chelsea’s only senior ‘keeper other than Sanchez at present is Dorde Petrovic, who was signed from MLS side New England Revolution during the recent transfer window but is yet to make his debut.
