The transfer window for clubs in the Premier League and Football League opens in just one week.

Clubs across the top five divisions of English football will be busy during the coming weeks, as owners and managers look to bolster their squads and move players on.

Chelsea announced the signing of Tosin Adarabioyo on a free transfer on Friday, and the Blues are likely to once again be one of the most active top flight clubs this summer.

Now, it appears that the West London outfit are considering a shock move for a Premier League striker.

As per The Mail, Chelsea are keeping tabs on Everton forward Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Calvert-Lewin has attracted interest from Chelsea

The report claims that the Englishman is one of a number of potential targets being considered by the Blues as they look to add a striker to Enzo Maresca’s squad ahead of next season.

The 27-year-old joined the Toffees from Sheffield United back in 2016, having made just 12 appearances for the Blades and failing to score in any of them.

Since his switch to Goodison Park, the England international has scored 68 goals in 247 matches for the Toffees across all competitions.

He is contracted to Everton until next summer, which could tempt the Merseyside club into cashing in on the player this summer.

The report claims that Chelsea are also monitoring RB Leipzig forward Benjamin Sesko as they search for a new striker.

The Slovenia international is also a target for both Arsenal and Manchester United, and he is said to have already rejected at least two offers from clubs in the Saudi Arabian Pro League.
