Chelsea will hope to keep alive their hopes of European qualification when they face West Ham United on Sunday afternoon.

The Blues defeated Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 at Stamford Bridge last time out, and now they face another important London derby against the Hammers.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino will be desperate to see his side end a disappointing season by finishing in the qualification places for European competitions next term.

The Argentine has been trying to balance his young squad all season, and he may feel that his side should have won the Carabao Cup and should alo have reached the FA Cup final, after frustrating defeats against Liverpool and Manchester City respectively at Wembley.

Those in charge of the club continue to plan for the future as part of their project, and now it appears that the club are plotting a staggering offer for a Brazilian wonderkid.

According to UOL via 90min, Chelsea are preparing a £47 million offer for Palmeiras teenager Estevao.

Estevao has impressed for Palmeiras

The 17-year-old has been attracting interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs over the past year, including French giants Paris Saint-Germain who failed in an attempt to sign the player nicknamed ‘Messinho’ last year.

His teammate, Endrick, has since agreed a big money move to Real Madrid, and it appears that Estevao could also be in line for a move to Europe.

Winger Estevao has played 13 times for Palmerias’ first team, having graduated through the club’s youth academy.

He has scored two goals for the club, as well as providing an assist.

The report claims that Chelsea have already had two offers for the teenager rejected, and the club are now preparing to return with an initial bid of £26 million, plus a further £21 million in add-ons.

The player’s contract with his current side is set to run until the end of the 2025/26 season.
