Interim Chelsea manager Frank Lampard picked up his first win since returning to the club as they defeated Bournemouth on Saturday.

Goals from Conor Gallagher, Benoit Badiashile and Joao Felix gave the Blues a crucial victory, ending a run of eight games without a win across all competitions.

Lampard is set to leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the season, although it is still unclear who will be taking charge ahead of next season.

Regardless of who is appointed as manager, owner Todd Boehly looks likely to once again spend big when the transfer window reopens this summer.

The American has already spent more than £600 million since taking charge of the club last summer, but it now appears that he is hoping to make another statement signing.

According to Football Insider, Chelsea are preparing an offer to sign Bayern Munich forward Sadio Mane.

Mane could reportedly be allowed to leave Bayern this summer

It is claimed that the London side will table an offer to attempt to lure the Senegal international to London this summer, just a year after he departed Liverpool.

During his time at Anfield, Mane scored 120 goals and provided 48 assists in 269 appearances across all competitions.

He played integral roles as Jurgen Klopp’s side won both the Champions League in 2019 and the Premier League the following year.

Since moving to Bavaria last summer, the 31-year-old has made 36 appearances across all competitions for Bayern, scoring 12 goals and providing five assists.

Mane’s current contract with Bayern is set to run until 2025, but the report suggests that the German side could decide to sell him this summer for the right price.

In March, Mane was omitted from the Bayern squad for a game against Hoffenheim after a reported altercation with teammate Leroy Sane.

The Senegal forward has since returned to action, though, and provided an assist against Mainz last month.

The report claims that Chelsea are hoping to make Mane their first signing of the summer.
