Chelsea are pushing to land a late January deal for Schalke defender Sead Kolasinac but will face a battle from the German club, as well as other suitors, according to Sky Sports News HQ reporter, Kaveh Solhekol.
The Sky Sports man is claiming that the runaway Premier League leaders are considering a late swoop for the Bosnia and Herzegovina man, who is out of contract at the end of this season, however, the Bundesliga side are reluctant to sell.
Furthermore, Antonio Conte will face a battle with his former club, Italian champions Juventus, who themselves believed they had landed a deal for the 23-year-old.
Aside from a spell as a sub early in the season, Kolasinac has been a mainstay for Schalke this season but could leave with the seven time German champions languishing in eleventh in the Bundesliga this season.
The left-back can also comfortably operate as a left midfielder, making him a good addition to Conte’s 3-4-3 system, which asks a lot of his wing-backs.
