Chelsea are reportedly ready to complete the signings of two Barcelona stars if the Spanish club agree to sell the duo.

As per Sky Sports, the Blues are prepared to continue their summer of spending by adding Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Frenkie de Jong to their squad.

The La Liga side have also recruited heavily during the current window, and are now desperate to move some players on.

De Jong has been chased by Manchester United all summer but the player reportedly isn’t keen on the move, and Chelsea are now preparing to match the Red Devils’ £72 million offer for the Dutchman.

Aubameyang looks likely to leave Barcelona this summer

Aubameyang, meanwhile, only departed Chelsea’s London rivals Arsenal in January but has had his future cast into doubt by the arrival of Robert Lewandowski.

The Blues have already landed Raheem Sterling, Kalidou Koulibaly, Marc Cucurella and Carney Chukwuemeka this summer, and are also confident of completing the signing of Wesley Fofana.

It is believed that Barcelona will let both Aubameyang and De Jong leave, although it is not yet clear if the players themselves are willing to do so.

The report also claims that De Jong is owed £17 million in deferred wages by his current employers but is unwilling to leave without being paid.

Barcelona, meanwhile, are hopeful that the Netherlands international will agree to a pay cut and a £6 million settlement for his owed wages.
