Chelsea are reportedly ready to fight Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus in a bid to sign Argentina star Giovani Lo Celso, according to Calciomercato.com.

The defending Premier League champions, who were knocked out of the UEFA Champions League by Ligue 1 leaders PSG earlier in midweek, are interested in snapping up the Rosario Central midfielder come the end of the 2015-16 campaign.

The 19-year-old, who is predominantly an attacking midfielder, has provided one assists in eight first-team appearances for the Primera Division outfit so far this season.

The report suggests that Guus Hiddink’s Blues are prepared to splash out up to £8m in a bid to beat PSG and Juve to Lo Celso’s signature, who has been likened to Argentina international Angel Di Maria.

Chelsea currently sit tenth in the English top-flight standings, ten points adrift of fourth placed Manchester City following their 1-1 draw against Stoke City last weekend at Stamford Bridge.
