Chelsea ready to ditch Diego Costa for €35m-rated Colombia hitman

Chelsea are reportedly considering a swap deal for Colombia international Jackson Martinez involving Blues forward Diego Costa.

The defending Premier League champions, who drew 0-0 at Manchester United on Monday night, are understood to be tempted in offloading their Spanish striker if they can sign Atletico Madrid ace Martinez in return.

The 29-year-old, who has 36 international caps for his country, has scored three goals in 15 appearances in all competitions for the La Liga outfit so far this season.

Martinez’s, who only joined Atletico from FC Porto back in the summer for around €35m, agent recently admitted, “I cannot say it’s a lie.

“This is football and no-one knows what will happen in the future. What I want to say is that Jackson is not one of those who goes to a place if it is not through the front door.”
