Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino will be hoping that his side can return to winning ways when they face Bournemouth on Saturday.

The Blues travel to the south coast having picked up just four points from their first four Premier League games of the season, and the ex-Spurs boss will be expecting to see improvement against the Cherries.

In the meantime, it appears that one of Pochettino’s fringe players could depart Stamford Bridge this week.

As reported by Football Insider, defender Malang Sarr could leave the club this week after Pochettino gave the green light for the player to be sold.

Sarr, 24, joined the Blues from French side Nice in 2020 but has since made just 21 appearances for Chelsea across all competitions.

He was part of the Blues’ squad for the 2021/22 season, but made just 21 appearances across all competitions.

Sarr has failed to establish himself as a regular for Chelsea since joining the club three years ago

Despite that, he was part of the Chelsea side that won the FIFA Club World Cup under Thomas Tuchel, making a substitute appearance in their victory over Palmeiras in the final.

The Frenchman has spent time on loan at both Porto and Monaco since joining Chelsea, but it appears that he could now be on his way out of Stamford Bridge on a permanent basis.

The report claims that a number of clubs in Turkey are interested in Sarr, who has been deemed surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge since Pochettino’s arrival.

Several Super Lig sides are said to be monitoring the player’s situation, and Chelsea are said to be willing to sell him two years before the expiry of his current contract.

At present the likes of Thiago Silva, Axel Disasi, Benoit Badiashile, Levi Colwill and Trevoh Chalobah are all ahead of Sarr in the pecking order, and he could therefore look to leave the club.
