Chelsea have rejected a £20million bid for Callum Hudson-Odoi from Bayern Munich, according to Sky Sports.

This is the second offer the Bundesliga title holders have had turned down for the 18-year-old winger, with a previous offer of £13.5million being deemed significantly too low.

The Blues are reportedly looking for approximately £40million for the versatile forward, showing that the England Under-19 international is still highly-regarded by the club.

However, the 2017 Under-17 World Cup winner is entering his final 18 months of his contract at Stamford Bridge, meaning that if a new contract or transfer is not agreed, owner Roman Abramovich risks losing the talented prospect on a free transfer.

Chelsea chief Maurizio Sarri has handed Hudson-Odoi just one Premier League appearance.

The academy graduate has featured just once this season in the Premier League, with midfielders Willian, Pedro and Eden Hazard all being preferred options out wide.

With this in mind, a move away from West London may be viewed as a possible way for the two-time FA Youth Cup winner to further his career and fulfil his potential.

With England international Jadon Sancho lighting up the Bundesliga this season, the opportunity to earn regular game time at a European giant should be considered and relished by Hudson-Odoi.
