Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze received his first senior international call up on Wednesday.

The winger was included in the England squad for their upcoming Euro 2024 qualifiers against Malta and North Macedonia.

A number of high-profile players missed out on a place in the squad, including Chelsea trio Mason Mount, Ben Chilwell and Reece James.

All three Blues stars are injured, while teammate Raheem Sterling was also left out after discussing his fitness with manager Gareth Southgate.

Mount, 24, hasn’t featured for the west London outfit since February due to a pelvis injury and faces an increasingly uncertain future at Stamford Bridge.

The midfielder has been heavily linked with a move away from the club this summer, but it appears that he won’t come cheap.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea will demand more than £80 million for the England international.

Mount will reportedly cost more than £80 million if he is to leave Chelsea this summer

Romano claims that incoming Blues boss Mauricio Pochettino was keen to ensure that Mount stayed put at Stamford Bridge, but that he is now unlikely to sign an extension to his current deal.

Mount’s current deal is set to run until the summer of 2024, but talks over an extension have so far failed to progress.

With that in mind, Chelsea could sell the player this summer rather than losing him for free next year.

Premier League rivals Liverpool had been heavily linked with a move for Mount, but Romano claims that Manchester United are also interested in the ex-Derby County loanee.

Having made his senior debut for Chelsea in 2019, Mount has now played 195 times for the London side.

The midfielder has scored 33 goals and provided 37 assists across all competitions, but it appears increasingly likely that his time with the club will come to an end this summer.
