Chelsea are set to make a decision this week on whether or not to pursue a move for former Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The Blues have been linked with a sensational move for the Gabon international, with his current side Barcelona reportedly offering him, along with two teammates, to the club.

Chelsea have been focussing on defensive targets of late, but boss Thomas Tuchel is keen to bolster his frontline having lost Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner so far this summer.

Kai Havertz and Armando Broja are set to be the club’s only strikers this season, which has lead to Chelsea considering a move for 33-year-old Aubameyang, according to FourFourTwo.

Aubameyang has been linked with a reunion with Thomas Tuchel

The Barcelona striker scored 92 goals in 163 matches for Arsenal before leaving in January, and also netted 13 times in 23 games during his first six months in Catalunya.

The Spanish side have signed Robert Lewandowski this summer, meaning that Aubameyang could now be allowed to leave the club.

It is claimed that the La Liga giants will let one of Aubameyang and Memphis Depay leave this summer, although they have reportedly offered both players to Chelsea, as well as midfielder Frenkie de Jong.

Tuchel worked with the Gabonese striker during his time in charge of German side Borussia Dortmund.
