Chelsea came from behind to cruise to a convincing 4-1 win over Burnley on Saturday afternoon.

Teenager Wilson Odobert gave the Clarets a surprise lead at Turf Moor, before winger Raheem Sterling forced an own goal by Ameen Al-Dakhil to draw the visitors level.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side took the lead shortly after the break when Cole Palmer tucked away a penalty awarded for a foul on Raheem Sterling.

Sterling then got himself on the scoresheet to put the Blues 3-1 up, before striker Nicolas Jackson capped off a fine Chelsea performance with his third goal for the club.

The victory leaves Pochettino’s side 11th in the Premier League table going into the international break, and the former Tottenham Hotspur boss will be hoping that his side can carry their momentum into a tough run of fixtures over the next couple of months.

It appears that the Argentine has been dealt a huge boost, though, with one of his most important players willing to commit his future to the club.

Gallagher could soon commit his future to Chelsea

As per Football Insider, midfielder Conor Gallagher is happy to extend his stay at Stamford Bridge following his recent run as a regular.

The 23-year-old is a product of Chelsea’s fruitful youth academy and made his senior debut for the club at the start of last season.

He featured regularly last term and has played in each of Chelsea’s ten matches across all competitions so far this season.

Gallagher has captained Chelsea four times already this season, and the report claims that he is happy to sign a new contract with the cub as long as he is playing regularly.

The England international’s current contract is set to expire in the summer of 2025, but it is also claimed that Chelsea will soon open talks with the player about an extension.

Gallagher has remained a regular for the Blues despite the arrivals of Moises Caicedo, Romeo Lavia and Lesley Ugochukwu over the summer, but it remains to be seen whether or not he will keep his place once Lavia returns from injury.
