Chelsea begin a tough run of fixtures by welcoming Everton to Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.

A 2-1 win over Fulham on Sunday kept the Blues’ hopes of finishing in the top five of the Premier League alive, but they now face a daunting run in.

After the visit of the Toffees, Enzo Maresca’s side face Liverpool, Newcastle United, Manchester United and Nottingham Forest.

The West London side may therefore miss out on a place in next season’s Champions League, although they can qualify for the Europa League by winning the Europa Conference League.

In the meantime, one of Chelsea’s attackers is being linked with a move to one of his former clubs.

As reported by CaughtOffside, forward Joao Felix is in talks to discuss a sensational possible return to Benfica.

Felix spent the first half of this season at Chelsea before joining AC Milan on loan

Felix, 25, departed his boyhood club to join Atletico Madrid in 2019 for a fee of £113 million, making him the fourth most expensive player in history at the time.

The Portugal international struggled in the Spanish capital, though, and joined Chelsea permanently last summer having previously spent time on loan at Stamford Bridge.

Having struggled to establish himself in Maresca’s side, though, he was sent on loan to Italian side AC Milan during the January transfer window.

In total the attacker has scored 11 goals and provided two assists in 40 matches for the Blues across his two spells with the club.

The report claims that Chelsea are willing to allow the Portuguese to depart SW6 this summer for a fee of around £30-35 million, and his representatives are said to be in talks about a possible shock return to Lisbon.

Felix is also said to be attracting interest from clubs in the Saudi Pro League, however it remains to be seen whether or not the player himself would be willing to agree to such a move at this point in his career.
