Chelsea will hope to reverse their dismal run of form at The London Stadium when they face West Ham United on Saturday afternoon.

The Blues have won just one of their last seven visits to face the Hammers, and they were beaten 3-1 at the start of last season under then-manager Mauricio Pochettino.

New head coach Enzo Maresca will hope to see his side fare better this time around, and he will be made confident by wins over Wolves and Bournemouth in their two Premier League away games so far this term.

Ahead of the London derby on Saturday, it has emerged that one of Chelsea’s England internationals is likely to leave the club when the transfer window reopens in January.

As per Football Insider, full-back Ben Chilwell is still expected to depart Stamford Bridge in the new year despite being reintegrated back into first team training with Maresca’s squad.

Chilwell faces an uncertain future at Stamford Bridge

The left-back was told by Maresca over the summer that he wasn’t part of his plans for the current campaign but, after failing to secure a move away from SW6 before the end of the window, he was pictured back in training with the first team squad this week.

Over the summer, the 27-year-old was one of a number of first team members that were training separately, as Maresca and those in charge of the club attempted to deal with a huge playing squad.

Despite now training with his teammates once again, the report suggests that Chilwell is unlikely to have much involvement or playing time under Maresca this term and he is therefore likely to seek a move away from Stamford Bridge in January.

Chilwell joined the Blues from Leicester City in 2020 and has since played more than 100 times for the club, despite being hampered by regular injuries throughout his time in the capital.
