Chelsea face Liverpool in the FA Cup final on Saturday, hoping to avenge their Carabao Cup final defeat to the Reds earlier this season.

The two sides played out a goalless draw at Wembley back in February, and it was Jurgen Klopp’s side who emerged victorious after a penalty shoot-out.

They will meet again on Saturday, though, with the Reds still in with a chance of completing the quadruple and Chelsea hoping to avoid a trophy-less season.

Klopp’s side are the strong favourites to lift the cup, but Thomas Tuchel will fancy his chances having already won three cup competitions during his 18 months in London.

The Blues’ preparations for Wembley may not be going quite to plan, though, as striker Romelu Lukaku has once again landed himself in hot water after his agent hinted at a return to Italy.

The player’s agent, Federico Pastorello, told La Repubblica that the player had an issue that needed resolving.

“He has the club and the fans in his heart, he has never hidden it, like his love for Anderlecht where he would like to end his career,” he said.

Lukaku scored his 15th goal of the season against Leeds United on Wednesday

“But we cannot think about negotiations.

“Chelsea are in takeover discussions, we do not know the new owners, let alone if we can open talks with Inter or AC Milan. We have to wait.”

He also added: “Lukaku has a problem, but we will solve it.”

The Belgian later took to Instagram to clear the air in regard to the comments, distancing himself from the rumours.

“Never ever will I let someone speak for me…

“I kept my mouth shut and focused on helping the team and end the season in the best way possible.

“So if someone is out there trying to say something about me and the club…not in my name,” it read.

Lukaku has already apologised once to Chelsea fans this season, after a controversial interview with Italian TV during which he criticised Tuchel’s style and admitted his desire to return to Inter Milan.

The ex-Manchester United man has endured a tough season during his second stint at Stamford Bridge and found himself benched for much of the campaign, but he has scored three goals in his last two league matches.
