Struggling Chelsea forward Timo Werner has been offered to Spanish champions Real Madrid, according to reports.

As per Marca, the German striker has been offered by his current side to the La Liga club, as they look to offload him following the arrival of Raheem Sterling.

Werner, 26, started just 24 games last term and is keen to secure more regular football, something which he believes the Blues cannot offer him at present.

Werner could be on his way out of Chelsea

If Madrid do look to sign the Germany international, it would reportedly cost them 35 million euros, although a deal could consist of an initial loan move with a clause that makes the transfer become permanent.

It is suggested, though, that Werner may snub a move to the Spanish capital as he would likely be used as cover for Karim Benzema and may therefore not guarantee himself an increased amount of playing time.

Both Newcastle United and Werner’s former club RB Leipzig have also been credited with an interest in the player.
