Jadon Sancho could make his debut for Chelsea when they face Bournemouth on Saturday.

The England international made a shock deadline day loan move from Manchester United to Chelsea, after a nightmare 12 months at Old Trafford.

Sancho had spent the second half of last term on loan at former side Borussia Dortmund, but he will now hope to resurrect his career at Stamford Bridge.

While Sancho has arrived in West London, it appears that one of their current players could soon be on his way out.

According to Fabrizio Romano on his column for CaughtOffside, Chelsea midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka is only available for permanent transfer, despite interest from Galatasaray.

The Turkish Super Lig club have been heavily linked with a loan move for the Englishman, but Romano has played down the speculation, instead claiming that Chelsea are only willing to let the player leave the club on a permanent basis.

Chukwuemeka has been linked with a loan switch to Turkish side Galatasaray

Chukwuemeka, 20, joined the Blues from Aston Villa last summer but made just 27 appearances during his debut season at Stamford Bridge, partly due to injury.

The youngster – who can play in a number of midfield roles but primarily operates centrally – is contracted to the Blues until the end of the 2027/28 campaign.

He is unlikely to be involved in Enzo Maresca’s squad this term, with the Italian having several other options available to him in midfield.

The player will therefore likely want to secure more regular first team football, but Romano claims that interested clubs would have to either sign the player permanently or persuade those in charge of the club to change their stance.
