With just hours remaining of the January transfer window, Chelsea are yet to make a single senior signing.

The Blues have been extremely busy since being taken over by their American owners in 2022, but they are yet to bolster Enzo Maresca’s squad this month despite winning just one of their last seven Premier League games.

Several current members of the Chelsea squad have, however, been linked with moves away from Stamford Bridge.

Midfielder Cesare Casadei joined Italian outfit Torino over the weekend, and several others could be on their way out of the club before Monday’s 11pm transfer deadline.

One player that won’t be leaving, however, is forward Christopher Nkunku.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Nkunku is set to stay put at Stamford Bridge beyond the end of the current window as thew club’s valuation of him hasn’t been met.

Nkunku, 27, had been heavily linked with a move having fallen out of favour since Maresca’s arrival over the summer, but Romano claims that he was never interested in leaving on loan.

Nkunku looks set to stay at Chelsea until the end of the season at least

Both Bayern Munich and Manchester United were interested in the French forward, Romano claims, but an agreement was never close.

Nkunku joined Chelsea from German side RB Leipzig in 2023 and, after being plagued by injuries during his first season in England, the attacker has struggled to establish himself in the first team this term.

The ex-Paris Saint-Germain man has scored 13 goals in 29 games across all competitions so far this term but has started just three of Chelsea’s 23 Premier League matches.

It is claimed that Chelsea value the player at around £65-70 million and were not willing to let him leave for less than that amount, while the player himself never intended to depart his current side on loan and would only have considered a permanent switch.
