Chelsea strike deal for Saul Niguez

Chelsea have reportedly agreed a deal to sign midfielder Saul Niguez.

The Blues will pay a £4.29m loan fee to Atletico Madrid and personal terms have already been agreed, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. 

It’s claimed that the Spain international will travel to London to complete the move ahead of the 11pm deadline.

The arrival of Saul will add to Thomas Tuchel’s midfield options, where he already has N’Golo Kante, Mateo Kovacic and Jorginho battling for a place.

Niguez, 26, came through the youth ranks at Atletico after moving from rivals Real in 2008.

He has since played 340 times fo the first-team and helped them win the La Liga title last term.
