Chelsea travel to the south coast to face Bournemouth on Saturday evening.

New head coach Enzo Maresca has enjoyed a relatively positive start to life in charge of the Blues, winning two and drawing one of his five games across all competitions so far this term.

The Cherries will provide a stern test for the Blues, although Maresca will take confidence from his side’s thrilling 6-2 victory over Wolves in their last away league game.

Off the pitch, one of Chelsea’s fringe players has reportedly agreed a move to Turkey.

As per journalist Fabrizio Romano, Turkish side Goztepe SK have agreed a deal with the Blues for striker David Datro Fofana.

The 21-year-old has been close to finalising a late move to Greek Super League giants AEK Athens, but the deal fell through just hours before the transfer window shut in Greece on Wednesday evening.

Fofana could spend the rest of the current season on loan in Turkey

It remains open in Turkey, though, and Super Lig outfit Goztepe are said to have agreed a loan move for the Ivorian.

Romano claims that the proposed deal includes an option-to-buy clause, meaning that the Turkish side could sign Fofana permanently next summer.

Equally, the deal will also include a recall clause, allowing Chelsea to recall the player during the January transfer window.

Fofana joined the Blues from Norwegian side Molde in January last year but has only played four times for the West London outfit across all competitions.

He spent the first half of last season on loan at German side Union Berlin, before returning to England to join Burnley.

He netted four times for the Clarets before their relegation from the Premier League at the end of last term.

Fofana has just under five years remaining on his current contract with Chelsea.
