Olivier Giroud will have to wait to complete his move from Chelsea to Inter Milan, according to reports.

The 33-year-old seems to be closing in on a switch to the San Siro after La Gazzetta dello Sport (via the Mail Online) reported that terms with the Serie A title contenders had been agreed.

This will see Giroud reunited with boss Antonio Conte, who was in charge of Chelsea when he signed from Arsenal in January 2018.

Chelsea won the Premier League and FA Cup with Conte in charge.

However, the major Italian outlet claim that the France international will not be able to seal the transfer until Inter sell Matteo Politano.

Politano, who is thought to be attracting interest from AC Milan, Fiorentina and Napoli, has started just two league matches this term.

Giroud has also had to settle for mainly substitute appearances this season, making just two Premier League starts under Frank Lampard.

And with his contract expiring in the summer, the West London side have taken the decision to let the former Arsenal star depart.

The 2018 World Cup winner will reportedly cost Inter £4.2million and he has agreed a contact until 2021.

But the former Arsenal star will seemingly have to sit tight until Inter move on Politano.
