Chelsea will look to keep alive their hopes of qualifying for next season’s Europa League by beating Brighton and Hove Albion on Wednesday night.

The Blues have been in good form of late and victory against Nottingham Forest last time out means they can still finish as high as fifth if they win their final two matches and other results go their way.

Mauricio Pochettino looks set to continue in his role beyond this summer, which could be a busy one at Stamford Bridge with plenty of incomings and outgoings expected.

One of those players expected to depart the club is Romelu Lukaku, and Football Insider claims that the Blues will accept an offer of £35 million for the striker.

The Belgian is currently on loan at Italian side AS Roma but isn’t likely to have a future in West London and will therefore be made available at a low price this summer.

Lukaku is currently on loan at Serie A side Roma

The report claims that Chelsea will accept an offer of just £35 million for the 31-year-old, who they paid £97.5 million to sign from Inter Milan in 2021 before loaning the Belgian back to the Italian side a year later.

Lukaku endured a frustrating season in London and, after spending a season on loan at Inter, he then returned to Italy to join Roma last summer.

He has played 46 times for Roma across all competitions since joining the club, scoring 20 goals.

It is claimed that the forward, who is contracted to Chelsea until the end of the 2025/26 season, doesn’t feature in Pochettino’s plans and won’t play for the Blues again.

He will therefore be put up for sale during the upcoming transfer window, but Chelsea will have to accept a huge loss on the ex-Manchester United man if they are going to move him on.

Roma, however, are unlikely to make a move for the Belgium international due to his price tag and the costs involved in signing him.
