Chelsea continue their search for a new manager following Mauricio Pochettino’s departure last week.

The Argentine left his role at Stamford Bridge by mutual consent after just one season in charge, and several names have since been linked with the vacant position.

Ipswich Town’s Kieran McKenna had been touted as a possible successor to Pochettino, while other names to have been linked include Roberto De Zerbi and Enzo Maresca.

Despite not currently having a manager in place, Chelsea will go ahead with a summer move for Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise, according to The Mirror.

The report claims that those in charge of the Blues’ recruitment are set to pursue Olise, 22, this summe regardless of who is appointed as the club’s new manager.

Olise is set to be the subject of significant interest this summer

Olise joined the Eagles from Reading in 2021 and has since made 90 appearances for the club across all competitions, scoring 16 goals and registering 25 assists.

Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool and Newcastle United are also said to be interested in Olise, who enjoyed an impressive finish to the recent Premier League campaign.

Arsenal are said to be leading the race to land the Frenchman as he is keen to play Champions League football, but Chelsea’s owners are set to pursue a move for the winger as they look to continue their huge spending approach.

Chelsea are said to be long-term admirers of Olise, who was close to a move to Stamford Bridge last summer before eventually staying put and signing a new contract at Selhurst Park.

That deal is set to run until the end of the 2026/27 campaign, but Palace face a tough battle to keep hold of the player until then.
