Chelsea to recall winger from Bournemouth

Chelsea are set to recall winger Christian Atsu from his loan spell at Bournemouth.

The 23-year-old was supposed to spend the season with the Cherries but injuries have restricted him to just two League Cup appearances.

Now Blues interim boss Guus Hiddink is keen to bring the Ghana star back to Stamford Bridge, with the view to including him in his plans for the remainder of the campaign.

Atsu, who was named Player of the Tournament at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations, has yet to play for the champions since signing from Porto in 2013 and made just five Premier League appearances in a loan spell at Everton last term.
