The prospect of a second all-English Champions League final in just three years is now just 90 minutes away, with Chelsea on the verge of facing Manchester City in the final in Istanbul at the end of May.

Two years ago, Liverpool faced Tottenham in the final, while Chelsea beat Arsenal in the Europa League final. However, no English side made it to either European final last season.

With Chelsea’s focus on the game against Real Madrid on Wednesday evening, it appears that they could be about to battle with another Premier League side, in the race to sign Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho.

According to BILD, Chelsea are the latest to enter the running for the England international, with Liverpool and Manchester United also interested.

United had been heavily linked with Sancho last summer, but a deal fell through after the Premier League side refused to meet Dortmund’s £100m asking price for the player.

The 21-year-old has responded by scoring 12 times and registering 18 assists this term, despite being injured for much of the past few months.

Sancho joined Dortmund from Manchester City in 2017.

The Blues have reportedly given up on the prospect of signing Sancho’s teammate Erling Braut Haaland, and will now instead pursue Romelu Lukaku.

Sancho, however, may also be an affordable target, as Dortmund have reportedly lowered their asking price to £78 million in an effort to cash in on the player.

Chelsea boss Tuchel narrowly missed working with Sancho in Germany, as the England winger arrived at the club just month after the manager had departed for Paris Saint-Germain.

However, the German boss is now rumoured to be keen on working with the star and could push for a headline move this summer.
