Chelsea recorded consecutive Premier League home victories for the first time this year as they beat Sheffield United 2-0 on Saturday.

Goals from Cole Palmer and Nicolas Jackson earned Mauricio Pochettino’s side a crucial victory against the Blades.

The result moves the Blues up to tenth in the top flight table, and they now face a crucial Carabao Cup tie against Newcastle United at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday evening.

In the meantime, it is being reported that the West London club are set to rival Real Madrid for a Championship youngster.

According to TEAMtalk, Chelsea will battle it out with the Spanish giants for the signing of Sunderland midfielder Jobe Bellingham.

The two clubs are said to be among a number of top clubs from across Europe that are monitoring the Black Cats midfielder, who has been in fine form so far this season.

Bellingham is a target for both Chelsea and Real Madrid

Bellingham, 18, is the younger brother of current Real Madrid star Jude, who has taken the Spanish top flight by storm since joining from Borussia Dortmund over the summer.

The teenager has made 22 appearances for Sunderland so far this season, scoring four goals and providing an assist.

He joined the North East club from boyhood side Birmingham City during the recent summer transfer window, but his impressive performances at The Stadium of Light have attracted interest from some of Europe’s top clubs.

It is claimed that Chelsea have been scouting the Englishman for around two years now, and could make a move to sign him as owner Todd Boehly continues his push to sign young talented players.

Boehly is said to be a huge fan of both Jobe and Jude, and the report claims that there were even talks held about the possibility of Chelsea completing a double deal for the two brothers before the elder signed for Real.
