Chelsea are likely to be one of the Premier League’s busiest clubs during remainder of the transfer window, as new owner Todd Boehly and manager Thomas Tuchel work hard to secure new signings.

Raheem Sterling is expected to be announced as a Blues player in the coming days, and the club have also been linked with the likes of Nathan Ake, Matthijs de Ligt and Raphinha.

There will also likely be a number of departures too, though, with several players leaving the club either on loan or permanently.

Both Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso are expected to depart the club for Barcelona, while Hakim Ziyech is likely to join AC Milan having struggled to secure a starting spot in Tuchel’s side.

Another player that could be on their way out of Stamford Bridge is Conor Gallagher, with Everton among the clubs interested.

Gallagher’s future is still undecided

The 22-year-old spent the 2020/21 campaign with West Bromwich Albion where he gained his first taster of top flight football, before an outstanding breakthrough season on loan at Crystal Palace last term.

The Englishman scored eight goals and provided five assists last season, and his fine form for the Eagles earned him his senior debut for England.

According to I, Gallagher is now a target for ex-Chelsea player and manager Frank Lampard, who is hoping to add the tireless midfielder to his ranks.

The report claims that Chelsea will wait until later in the summer to make a final decision on the future of the player, who is currently one of a number of young players on tour with the club in the U.S.

The Toffees struggled last season and narrowly avoided regelation but, having already lost talisman Richarlison to Tottenham Hotspur, Lampard will be keen to rebuild his squad.
