Chelsea weigh up loan offers for £3.5m-rated winger

Chelsea are reportedly considering January loan offers for winger Christian Atsu, according to ESPN FC.

The defending Premier League champions, who defeated Scunthorpe United 2-0 in the FA Cup on Sunday, are willing to allow the Ghana international to leave Stamford Bridge once more after cutting his AFC Bournemouth loan spell short this month.

The 23-year-old, who cost the Blues a reported £3.5m back in September 2013 from FC Porto, has failed to make a single first-team appearance for Chelsea since arriving in England.

Atsu, who has received loan offers from Hamburg and Levante respectively, made just two League Cup appearances for the Cherries this campaign before his parent club recalled him after a lack of first-team opportunities.
