Chelsea weigh up move for 21-year-old full-back

Chelsea are pondering a swoop for Barcelona’s Sergino Dest in January, according to reports.

The 21-year-old has found his game time limited since Xavi took over from Ronald Koeman at the Camp Nou last month.

Dest made 13 appearances under Koeman this season but has since made just three under the Barca legend.

According to Spanish outlet El Nacional, Xavi has put Dest behind Oscar Mingueza, Ronald Araujo and Sergi Roberto in his right-back pecking order, while Dani Alves will also be eligible to play come January.

It’s claimed the Catalan club are willing to let the United States international move on and the Express. report that Chelsea are keen.
