Chelsea will face Premier League newcomers Luton Town in their third game of the new campaign.

Axel Disasi scored on his Chelsea debut to rescue a draw in their league opener against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge.

In their first competitive game under Mauricio Pochettino, the West London outfit dominated but were held to a draw by their Merseyside opponents.

Chelsea have spent heavily once again this summer, taking Todd Boehly’s outlay to more than £850m.

The Blues have brought in the likes of Romeo Lavia, Moises Caicedo, Cristopher Nkunku, Axel Disasi, Nicolas Jackson, Robert Sanchez and Lesley Ugochukwu in this window.

Despite spending big on new arrivals, the West Londoners have recouped some of that money through player sales.

The Blues have sold the likes of Kai Havertz, Mason Mount, Mateo Kovacic, Kalidou Koulibaly, Edouard Mendy and Christian Pulisic.

Although Chelsea have managed to offload a lot of players already this term, the club have decided that they could accept offers for one of their players.

According to Football Insider, Chelsea could now accept an offer for left-back Marc Cucurella in the final days of the transfer window.

The report claims that Chelsea are willing to let the defender leave this summer after Ian Maatsen impressed Pochettino and is now set to be be utilised as Chelsea’s backup left-back to Ben Chilwell.

Cucrella has slipped down the pecking order at Chelsea, hence why the Blues are now willing to accept offers for him.

Cucurella, 25, joined Chelsea from Brighton & Hove Albion last summer in a deal that was worth over £60m.

Despite his scintillating performances during his spell at the Seagulls in the Premier League, the full-back has struggled to replicate that form at Chelsea.

The Spaniard featured in 24 Premier League games in a Chelsea shirt last season, providing two assists for his teammates.

However, Maatsen’s dazzling performances for Burnley last term have caused the 25-year-old to tumble down the pecking order under new boss Mauricio Pochettino.

Cucurella is contracted to the West Londoners until 2028, meaning he has plenty of time to work his way back into the team if he is not sold this summer.
