Chelsea will battle Arsenal and Liverpool in a bid to land France international forward Thomas Lemar next month, according to The Sun.
The defending Premier League champions, who defeated newly promoted Huddersfield Town 3-1 away from home during midweek, have been linked with the AS Monaco winger ahead of the forthcoming January transfer window.
The 22-year-old, who has eight international caps for his country, has scored just one goal and provided four assists in 16 appearances in all competitions for the defending Ligue 1 champions so far this season.
Lemar, who joined Monaco from French rivals Caen back in 2015, has netted 20 goals in 105 games overall for the club.
However, the report suggests Blues boss Antonio Conte is ready to use striker Michy Batshuayi as loan bait in his bid to ensure Lemar opts to join Chelsea, rather than any other Premier League rival in the New Year.
The Italian is ready to loan out Batshuayi, 24, in January, despite the Belgium international scoring nine goals in 16 outings this term, with just two Premier League starts under his belt.
