Chelsea striker Diego Costa has reportedly emerged as a £50m transfer target for Inter Milan ahead of the forthcoming January transfer window, according to Don Balon (via calciomercato).
The 28-year-old, who has 14 international caps for Spain, has impressively scored 10 goals and provided four assists in 15 appearances in all competitions for the Premier League outfit so far this season.
Costa, who joined The Blues from La Liga side Atletico Madrid back in July 2014, is understood to be a top target of the Serie A club following his prolific start to the 2016-17 campaign.
Inter recently sacked manager Frank De Boer after a barren run of form, replacing him with Stefano Pioli at the San Siro, although the Italian giants have earmarked current Atletico boss Diego Simeone as their long-term managerial target.
Alongside his potential arrival, Inter’s new owners are keen on luring Chelsea’s Costa to Serie A too, with the club eager to get their hands on a world-class forward – despite having Mauro Icardi in their squad already.
