FC Barcelona are reportedly interested in signing Serbia international defender Branislav Ivanovic, according to Mundo Deportivo (via talkSPORT).

The La Liga giants, who currently trail rivals and Spanish top-flight leaders Real Madrid by two points in second place after their opening 11 league games, are understood to be considering a move for the Chelsea player in a bid to solve their right-back issue this campaign.

The 32-year-old, who has 92 international caps for his country, has played eight times in all competitions for The Blues so far this season.

However Ivanovic, who arrived at Stamford Bridge from Lokomotiv Moscow back in 2008, has largely become out-of-favour under Chelsea boss Antonio Conte since switching to his successful 3-4-3 formation.

Barcelona are on the look out for a new right-back during the forthcoming January transfer window following disappointing performances from Aleix Vidal.

Ivanovic has scored 33 goals and provided 33 assists in 369 appearances for The Blues in all competitions overall.
