Eden Hazard could be on his way to Spanish giants Real Madrid as soon as January, according to surprising reports in Spain from Ok Diario.
The Belgian is under contract with Chelsea until 2020, but talks on a new contract with the West London club have stalled in recent times.
Hazard’s fellow countryman and ex-teammate Thibaut Courtois joined Los Blancos in the summer and it has long been reported that the playmaker has always dreamed of playing for the European champions.
The Blues have relied heavily on the 27-year-old this season, with the playmaker in fine form since shining for Belgium during the World Cup.
Chelsea’s number 10 has scored eight goals and provided a further four assists in all competitions this year and has often been the team’s ‘go-to man’ when in need of some inspiration.
A January move would certainly be a surprise, but Chelsea would prefer to cash in on their main star rather than letting his contract run out.
