Chelsea boss Graham Potter will be hoping that his side can pick up three points when they face rivals Fulham on Thursday.

The Blues make the short trip across West London to Craven Cottage, hoping to end their run of three games without a win.

Chelsea have won just one of their last ten matches across all competitions, and Potter looks to be coming under increasing pressure from the club’s supporters.

Owner Todd Boehly has already spent millions of pounds since taking charge of the club, but the American now looks set to finalise a deal for a new signing in the coming days, in an effort to change the club’s fortunes.

Joao Felix is expected to join The Blues on a six-month loan deal, but the Portuguese’s arrival could prompt an exit for one of Potter’s current stars.

According to The Evening Standard, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s name has been mentioned during negotiations between Chelsea and Atletico.

The Spanish side, who have agreed to let Felix move to London for the remainder of the season, are believed to be considering the prospect of signing Aubameyang.

Aubameyang hasn’t started a game for Chelsea since November

The Gabon international only joined Chelsea over the summer, but he has so far failed to impress and his time at the club so far was epitomised when he was substituted on – and then off – against Manchester City last week.

The 33-year-old has scored just once in nine Premier League matches so far this term, and he was excluded from the Chelsea squad for their visit to Manchester City on Sunday.

Despite Atletico’s enquiry, Chelsea have not yet officially made Aubameyang available for either sale or loan, and the player is said to be keen to stay put and fight for his place.

The ex-Arsenal striker cost The Blues around £12 million when he joined from Barcelona just four months ago.

Atletico boss Diego Simeone is keen to replace Felix, and Aubameyang could be an option as he boasts a good reputation in Spain.

During his brief spell with Barcelona, the striker scored 13 goals in just 24 matches across all competitions.
