After multiple failed attempts, Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri could finally sign Denis Suarez from Barcelona in January according to the Daily Star.
The Chelsea boss has been a long-time admirer of the midfielder, failing many times to land his target during his time at Napoli.
But the Italian could change his fortunes with Suarez wanting away from the club due to the lack of first team acton he is seeing in Spain.
The 24 year-old has made just one appearance this season for the Catalan club, coming in the Copa Del Rey against Cultural Leonesa.
In recent seasons Suarez has had to go out to other clubs to find first team action. He had a successful loan spell at Sevilla and signed for fellow La Liga club Villarreal before returning to Barcelona on a permanent deal in 2016.
Given his lack of first team games under Ernesto Valverde it seems that his Barcelona career could come to an end in January. But it will not just be Chelsea who are interested, both Napoli and Valencia have shown interest in the Spaniard.
With the Blues already brimming with midfield talent a move for Suarez could spell bad news for players such as Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Cesc Fabregas.
