All eyes will be on the Etihad on Sunday, as Manchester City host Liverpool in a potentially decisive encounter at the top of the Premier League table.

Just a single point separates the two sides with eight games remaining, and the winner of the tie will be confident of going on to lift the trophy in May.

In the meantime, talk has turned to the summer transfer window and one of City’s top targets.

Erling Braut Haaland will undoubtedly be the centre of global attention when the window reopens at the end of the season, with the striker’s release clause believed to become active this summer.

City have been touted as one of the favourites to land the prolific striker if he does depart Dortmund, and they now face a nervy wait to find out if they will succeed.

Haaland will reportedly make a decision on his future by the end of April

According to Spanish outlet Sport, the clubs chasing Haaland won’t have to wait long to find out his plans, as the 21-year-old is set to make a decision on his future by the end of April.

La Liga giants Real Madrid and Barcelona are also credited with an interest in the Norwegian, who is said to be considering his options.

The report suggests that the three clubs are the only remaining possibilities for Haaland, with the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United no longer considered to be contenders for his signing.

Haaland has emerged as one of the most prolific goal scorers in world football since joining Dortmund, scoring 80 goals in 83 matches.
