Spain and Atletico Madrid forward, Yannick Carrasco, has dashed any hopes Chelsea and their fans may have had over a deal by insisting he is happy where he is.

The 23-year-old, who was reportedly a £35m target for the former Italy and Juventus boss, is set to stay at the Vicente Calderon until 2020 on his current deal, and is keen to see that out and beyond.

Speaking to reporters at the stadium, the Spain international said:

“I’m already here until 2020 and hopefully I can be here longer, I’m really happy at Atleti,

“I’ve been really well received at the club. When I score goals and when I play well, the fans chant my name, and I hope that continues.”

Carrasco scored the equaliser for Diego Simeone’s side in the Champions League final against rivals Real Madrid last season, although it ended in defeat on penalties.

The Spanish side are reportedly keen to offer their man a new deal, in order to deter any interest from clubs such as Chelsea, which would include an even higher release clause.
