Antonio Conte is preparing for his first home Premier League home game in charge of Tottenham as his side welcome Leeds to North London on Sunday.

The Italian has had two games in charge so far in which he recorded a 3-2 win over Vitesse in the Europa Conference and a 0-0 draw at Everton.

Away from the pitch, it’s reported plans to bolster Conte’s squad are also being put in place.

According to the Daily Telegraph, the Spurs boss is eyeing a deal to sign Everton and England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.

Pickford is England’s first-choice stopper.

Current first-choice ‘keeper Hugo Lloris is out of contract in the summer and it’s claimed that Conte wants a Brit to either challenge or replace the Frenchman.

Number 1 on that list of homegrown stoppers is claimed to be Pickford who has 42 caps for England.

The 27-year-old joined Everton from Sunderland in 2017 and he has since made 172 appearances for the Toffees.

Pickford’s contract at Goodison Park expires in the summer of 2024 meaning, that if this story develops, it would probably take a significant fee for Everton to consider parting with their number 1.
